Question by JoeBD12: Experiencing widespread pain, migrating and changing over past 7 months?
I am a 15 year old male. Starting in October 2008 I was seen in the emergency room for a ruptured testicular cyst and possible epididymitis. I was prescribed medicine and felt mostly better for a week or so. Following that I sprained my ankle and foot. Slowly the testicular pain came back. It became pain in my testicles, abdomen, thighs, and inguinal areas and I felt very sick and tired for 2 months, losing ten pounds. I saw numerous doctors and had many tests. I was perscribed medicines for infections and nerve damage. Eventually my pain migrated. I had widespread pain and joint pain, I began to feel weak and “out-of-it” a lot. By this time it was March. I experience waxes and wanes and changes in pain. Overall, currently I have joint pain and widespread muscle pain and a feeling of weakness. I also experienece stabbing pains in my head, chest, and ribs and occasional numbness in my fingers and toothaches.
This obviously is a ton of symptoms, and seem crazy to myself and others, but I’m looking for an opinion from hopefully a medical professional who maybe can piece things together. I have never had a serious injury before. Could having a testicular cyst rupture and a sprained ankle and foot so close together have set something off?

You need a second opinion preferably at a teaching hospital. This all sounds a bit like testicular cancer although you seem young for that.

How do you handle the muscle and joint pain, swelling and bruising? How long have you had the disease? How does it impact your daily life and how do you cope with that? What type of physician is treating you for it ~ Immunologist, Dermatologist, Allergist, Internal Medicine, Rhumatologist, or all as a team? How do you find the results of the treatments?

Question by jkpushpala: What is the medicine available for the viral fever, chikenguniya spread over Hyderabad, India.?
The patient will get high fever and joint pains. If the patient isf administed antibiotics also, the fever is lasting not less than 15 days.

well, the fever is due to the mosquito aedis egyptis. unlike other mosquitoes, this particular mosquito bites during the daytime. and the virus affects joints and causes pains lasting for a long time.
the treatment is of two types. preventive medicine is available in the form of homeopathic pills. it is available at a very large no of medical stores in Hyderabad. once the fever has set in, it takes about a week to subside. dichlomol or dolo is used, as with other viral fever. a broad spectrum anti-biotic is used to prevent any secondary infections from setting in. the joint pains will last for a week or two, maybe even longer.

I would recommend getting another opinion. Due to your financial situation I would recommend checking to see if there’s a Medical School close to you that might be able to help you figure out what is going on.

Question by jininet10: how to remove swelling from joints. i stopped the medicine next day start the swelling angd join pain.?
Best answer:
Answer by lovelylarks
I have RH and Osteoarthritis….both crippling. Naturally, joint swelling is a common issue related to tons of other conditions and factors. Icing the affected area works, but it is temporary in many cases. The best thing I ever did to reduce swelling was to begin drinking tons of water and to STOP using salt. I took it further and started reading the salt content on everything I purchased at the grocery store. You should have seen my shocked look when I realized that milk also contains salt. Eat as natural as you can afford…use the least amount of foods that contain salt and never, never eat things like canned soup, and most condiments…loaded with enough salt to give anyone a heart attack. If you know what your medical condition is that is causing the swelling, then look it up on line. A good on line source is www.webmd.com. Then checkout food related causes to your particular condition. Good luck in your search for better health…it’s a battle for all even if it takes up to just pre old age death to feel the battle.

Well, It All Started In June. My back started to hurt for no reason consistently. A couple of days ago, my joints started to hurt me too, all over my body. I need some help, but if possible I don’t want to use medicine, I’m looking for old types of methods used by our grandfathers. Thanks.

First, find out what the problem is with a doctor. Many doctors prescribe natural medicines along with painkillers.
